On July 30, all proceeds from the sale of Pirate Paks will be donated to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation
VANCOUVER – Just like Vanilla Ice, Will Smith and Celine Dion, there’s another celebrity turning 40. This year, White Spot’s famous Pirate Pak celebrates 40 years of bringing delicious food, smiles and fun to family mealtimes across British Columbia and Alberta. A fond memory for many kids growing up in B.C., the Pirate Pak is a legendary favourite that has been enjoyed by millions of kids since 1968.
“A successful, 40-year track record is an outstanding achievement and speaks volumes about the quality and appeal of White Spot’s food. We are thrilled that the magic of the Pirate Pak will continue on for generations to come,” said Warren Erhart, president of White Spot. “To commemorate this exciting occasion, on Wednesday July 30 we are honoring kids across B.C. by donating all proceeds from the sale of Pirate Paks to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.“
First introduced by White Spot founder Nat Bailey, the Pirate Pak was created to provide its youngest customers with a meal that was made just for them. Catering to kids' creative imaginations while satisfying their appetites for food and fun, the Pirate Pak ensures that children have a delightful and tasty dining experience.
Offered to kids 10 and under, the Pirate Pak costs $5.99 and is available in a range of delicious options including the legendary burger, grilled cheese, crispy-coated chicken, macaroni and cheese and lightly battered Pacific Cod – all of which still come with hand-cut fries, a beverage, a scoop of ice cream and a chocolate "gold" coin.
