Richmond Centre White Spot continues to raise funds in support of Richmond Hospital Foundation adding an additional $7,750 this past December
RICHMOND, BC (January 25, 2024) — BC’s beloved restaurant chain, White Spot proudly supports various local charities and initiatives across the province. Giving back was important to founder, Nat Bailey, and that tradition is proudly upheld to this day. Since 2002, the team at Richmond Centre White Spot have been exemplifying White Spot’s commitment to giving back to local communities and families by supporting Richmond Hospital Foundation, a charity committed to ensuring a better and healthier future for Richmond residents.
During the month of December, the local Richmond restaurant team members and guests rallied together for a fundraising initiative whereby $2 from every burger sold for dine-in from December 1 to 31, 2023, was donated, which resulted in an incredible $7,750 raised for Richmond Hospital Foundation.
“For the second year in a row we undertook a month-long initiative to raise funds for Richmond Hospital Foundation, and we are proud to be able to give back to our community in such a big way,” says Mathew Oommen, Richmond Centre White Spot General Manager, “We are very proud to have worked with Richmond Hospital Foundation for more than 20 years, and to be able to support the impactful work they do within the community”.
Through various initiatives since 2002, Richmond Centre White Spot has raised over $200,000 for the foundation.
“We are so grateful for the generous donations we have received over the years through our partnership with the Richmond Centre White Spot. Their dedication to supporting our organization exemplifies a shared commitment to improving our community,” said Spencer Gall, Richmond Hospital Foundation Campaign Director, “This generous gift will be allocated as a Gift of Health which supports our medical teams and provides them with vital tools and resources they need to enhance the compassionate, critical health care they provide to the people of Richmond.”
In addition to this partnership, Richmond Centre White Spot continuously works with other organizations that support their local community and proudly upholds White Spot’s historical tradition of giving back to local communities. Thank you to the team at Richmond Centre White Spot and the Richmond community for helping make this achievement possible.
